Before I became a nutritional therapist, I used to REALLY struggle with food.

Before I became a nutritional therapist, I used to REALLY struggle with food.

Not so long ago my life was ruled by the number on the scale and my food choices were dictated by what I ‘should’ eat and the calories on the pack. I was convinced that I was addicted to sugar and I was considering a new plan or protocol I could try to lose weight on a weekly basis.

I would wake up filled with regret and guilt about last night’s pizza and dreaded trying on those jeans.

I mean it when I say ‘I know what it’s like’. I know how my bursting stomach feels after eating two packs of ginger snaps in the supermarket car park without blinking. I know how it feels to lie to your flatmates with a straight face about ‘Who ate the whole tub of Haagen Daaz’.

And I sure know how it feels to hate your body with a passion every time you see a mirror…

And I sure know how it feels to hate your body with a passion every time you see a mirror…

It all started with…

…an innocent little diet in my teens when the pressure of a “perfect bikini body” got to me. One diet after another, I found myself deeper and deeper in the world of instant solutions, extreme cleanses and the next ‘fix’, yet my weight started to creep up, my anxiety increased and compulsive eating became a regular part of my day.

I got trapped in the binge-restrict cycle and I was convinced controlling what I eat forever is the only option to stop my weight from spiralling out of control.

After 10 years of living in a daily battle with food and my body, I was fed up. Deep down, I knew there was more to life than obsessing about food 24/ 7 and feeling depressed every time I’ve seen photos of myself. I knew the answer was out there, and I was ready.

That’s when I went to see a Nutritional Therapist.

I went from being desperate to lose weight and questioning if I will ever be able to stop binging… to feeling relaxed and in control of my food choices and actually liking my body.

It took me a couple of years and a bunch of curveballs to reach full recovery, but after a ton of therapy, clever self-help books and 3 years of nutritional therapy studies later I cracked the “code” to lasting food freedom.

The power of Nutritional Therapy was life-changing for me and I made a commitment to help others stop food fixation and compulsive eating for good through becoming a binge eating nutritionist.

Armed with my personal past experiences, extensive training in nutritional therapy and disordered eating and my clinical knowledge, since starting my clinic in 2016, I have helped hundreds of women and men feel ‘normal’ around food and find peace with their bodies.

And I want to share it with you, too!

🌿 FAQs: Wonder if working with a binge eating nutritionist is right for you?

What does a binge eating nutritionist actually do?

A binge eating nutritionist helps you understand what triggers bingeing, helps improve your relationship with food and bring your body into nutritional balance so your body and brain feel safe again. The goal isn’t restriction — it’s helping you eat regularly, trust yourself around food and break the binge–restrict cycle with personalised support.

How is this approach different from a typical diet or weight-loss plan?

Unlike diets that rely on willpower and restriction, this approach focuses on your biology, mindset, and daily habits. We work on nourishment, nervous-system regulation and sustainable routines — not calorie counting. Many clients find this the first method that feels doable long-term.

Can nutritional therapy really help with binge eating and emotional eating?

Yes — when done properly. Nutritional therapy supports stabilising blood sugar, improving mood regulation, reducing cravings and eliminating the binge–restrict cycle. When paired with supportive coaching, it can help you feel calmer, more in control and less reactive around food.

Do you work with people who have ADHD and binge eating?

Absolutely. Many of my clients have ADHD or ADHD traits. Together, we address things like impulsive eating, chaotic food routines, sensory needs, executive functioning challenges and dopamine- driven binge patterns. The structure is gentle, realistic and ADHD-friendly.

How long does it take to see progress?

Most clients feel relief within a few weeks — fewer binges, more stable appetite, less guilt. Full recovery takes time, but steady improvements happen when your body consistently receives enough food and your nervous system starts feeling safer.
