Struggling with disordered eating, bingeing or food obsession?
Compassionate, evidence-based nutritional counselling for disordered eating, binge eating, bulimia and chronic dieting — without restriction or shame

What is disordered eating?
Disordered eating describes patterns of eating that feel chaotic, rigid, or distressing — even if you don’t have a formal diagnosis. Many disordered eating patterns don't fit traditional eating disorder diagnoses and many people with disordered eating don’t feel “sick enough” — yet food takes up a huge amount of mental space and affects daily life.
- Yo-yo dieting or repeated “starting over”
- Binge eating or loss of control around food
- Purging food
- Restricting during the day and overeating later
- Food guilt, anxiety, or obsession
- Emotional eating, fog and storm eating as a coping strategy
- Feeling disconnected from hunger and fullness cues

You can overcome disordered eating
Disordered eating affects millions of people worldwide — yet many never receive support because they don’t fit a narrow diagnostic box. Disordered eating behaviours are more common than many people realise:
- In long-term population studies, more than 1/2 of adult women and 1/3 of adult men report at least one disordered eating behaviour during their lives — such as dieting, binge eating, skipping meals, purging, or obsessive food rules.
- Large weight-loss studies involving over 94,000 adults, self-reported rates of moderate to severe binge eating behaviours can be as high as 26 %, and clinically diagnosed binge-eating disorder (BED) occurs in about 14 % of people in this group.
- These figures are higher than formal diagnoses of eating disorders in the general adult population, which tend to range under 1 % for individual conditions like bulimia nervosa and BED.
Whether you are experiencing disordered eating or are concerned about your relationship with food or your body, it is important to get support as soon as you can.
One thing I want you to know is that You are NOT broken
Right now you might be…
01.
01.
Dieting or restricting, compensating and manipulating your food. Calories, scales and measurements are essential parts of your day and even the smallest changes make you anxious. Your body image concerns are beliefs about weight are running the show
02.
02.
You may feel that you know all there is to know about nutrition and weight control. However, you are having a difficult time and it doesn't feel like you are in control anymore
03.
03.
Food has become the source of emotional management, stress coping strategy, punishment, joy, sadness, comfort and everything in between
04.
04.
Your personal life, work or studies and social interactions are suffering and you don’t want to keep going this way
05.
05.
Unable to remember what it felt like to have a “normal” relationship with food and worry that it is not possible for you in the future. You worry that you “ruined” your hunger and satiety signals and you simply cannot trust your body again
Imagine how it would feel to...
- Only think about food when it’s time to eat and feel relaxed and confident in your food choices. Know exactly how much and when to eat to maintain health and regular weight, without measuring or calculating
- Reach body neutrality and body respect, which would lead you to a supportive and healthy relationship with your body
- Feel relaxed and confident about eating out and be able to be fully present with people around you, instead of worrying about food
- Be able to listen to your hunger and satiety signals and trust the cues that your body is sending you
- Give your full attention to things that truly matter in your life, whether it’s relationships, your career or studies or bigger dreams that currently seem out of reach

Milda was friendly and positive and extremely attentive. She understood very quickly what I needed and had lots of ideas and suggestions which have helped me make real-life changes very quickly and effectively. I plan to work with Milda long-term to set great foundations for my relationship with food. She is an asset. Highly recommended.
The session this morning was brilliant. It helped me make sense of my cravings and behaviours around food so put me at ease knowing it wasn't all willpower. Also knowing my risk factors was actually reassuring, in that I feel overall I have done well, considering everything.
👉🏻 FAQs About Disordered Eating Support
Disordered eating describes ongoing patterns of restrictive eating, bingeing, emotional eating, food rules, or chaotic eating that negatively affect your wellbeing — even if you don’t have a diagnosed eating disorder.
If food feels stressful, controlling, or constantly on your mind, support can be helpful regardless of diagnosis.
Eating disorders are clinical diagnoses such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, or binge eating disorder (BED).
Disordered eating is broader and includes behaviours like chronic dieting, binge–restrict cycles, emotional eating, and food guilt that may not meet diagnostic criteria — but still cause significant distress and impact daily life.
Yes. Recovery from disordered eating focuses on restoring regular nourishment, rebuilding trust with food and your body, and changing the patterns that drive control and guilt — not on dieting, calorie counting, or rigid plans.
This approach supports long-term change rather than short-term control.
You don’t need to be “sick enough” to get help. Support may be right for you if:
- Food feels stressful, obsessive, or emotionally charged
- You swing between control and loss of control around eating
- You worry your weight or eating will spiral without strict rules
- Diets, therapy, or self-help haven’t created lasting change
If your relationship with food is affecting your quality of life, support is valid and appropriate.
Yes. Many of my clients have lived with disordered eating for 10, 20, or even 30+ years before seeking support.
Change is still possible — with the right pace, personalised approach, and focus on both the physical and emotional drivers of eating behaviour.
Yes! Our work together is done completely online. You will get details and a link to join the session upon booking.
Remote sessions are great to make sure you can join regardless of your location and commitments. Just make sure you have a good online connection and will be undisturbed during our call. I will likely send you online resources to further your recovery.
