Meet Nutritional therapist Milda

Wonder how I overcame binging, compulsive eating and food fixation?

Before I became a nutritional therapist, I used to REALLY struggle with food.

Before I became a nutritional therapist, I used to REALLY struggle with food.

Not so long ago my life was ruled by the number on the scale and my food choices were dictated by what I ‘should’ eat and the calories on the pack. I was convinced that I was addicted to sugar and I was considering a new plan or protocol I could try to lose weight on a weekly basis.

I would wake up filled with regret and guilt about last night’s pizza and dreaded trying on those jeans.

I mean it when I say ‘I know what it’s like’. I know how my bursting stomach feels after eating two packs of ginger snaps in the supermarket car park without blinking. I know how it feels to lie to your flatmates with a straight face about ‘Who ate the whole tub of Haagen Daaz’.

And I sure know how it feels to hate your body with a passion every time you see a mirror…

It all started with…

…an innocent little diet in my teens when the pressure of a “perfect bikini body” got to me. One diet after another, I found myself deeper and deeper in the world of instant solutions, extreme cleanses and the next ‘fix’, yet my weight started to creep up, my anxiety increased and compulsive eating became a regular part of my day.

I got trapped in the binge-restrict cycle and I was convinced controlling what I eat forever is the only option to stop my weight from spiralling out of control.

After 10 years of living in a daily battle with food and my body, I was fed up. Deep down, I knew there was more to life than obsessing about food 24/ 7 and feeling depressed every time I’ve seen photos of myself. I knew the answer was out there, and I was ready.

That’s when I went to see a Nutritional Therapist.

I went from being desperate to lose weight and questioning if I will ever be able to stop binging… to feeling relaxed and in control of my food choices and actually liking my body.

It took me a couple of years and a bunch of curveballs to reach full recovery, but after a ton of therapy, clever self-help books and 3 years of nutritional therapy studies later I cracked the “code” to lasting food freedom.

The power of Nutritional Therapy was life-changing for me and I made a commitment to help others stop food fixation and compulsive eating for good.

Armed with my personal past experiences, extensive training in nutritional therapy and disordered eating and my clinical knowledge, since starting my clinic in 2016, I have helped hundreds of women and men feel ‘normal’ around food and find peace with their bodies.

And I want to share it with you, too!
